Offset Error

Offset error is a shift of markings along one or both image field axes.

What causes offset error?

When the axes are precisely set to 0°, the laser focus should lie in the system-defined center of the image field. Manufacturing tolerances can result in discrepancies.

Offset error is the angular deviation between the theoretical and actual null position, expressed as an optical angle .

Remedy

Offset errors, i.e. deviations from the null position, can be corrected by manually determining an offset value or by applying software-assisted image field correction (e.g. with correXion pro).
