Image Field Calibration

By Image field calibration a scan-head-specific correction file populated with data from marking and measuring a test pattern is generated.

A generic correction file only corrects general optical distortions, not deviations caused by individual manufacturing tolerances.
Such errors can only be corrected by marking with the specific scan head. The following steps are required:

  • Mark a test pattern using the generic correction file
  • Measure the marked test pattern
  • Using the generic correction file as a starting point, generate an individualcorrection file by means of SCANLABs correXion pro
  • Verify the results using a laser application
  • If necessary, increase accuracy by repeating the image field calibration procedure
