hurrySCAN® 20

At the Laser 2003 trade show, SCANLAB AG will present the internal linkhurrySCAN® 20, a scan head optimized for industrial applications. With a 20-mm aperture, the new scan head is specified for laser powers up to 1 kW.

The hurrySCAN® 20 delivers highly dynamic performance which is usually not associated with large-mirror scan heads. The hurrySCAN® 20 is equipped with an exceptionally compact, robust and dust-proof housing, as well as integrated air and water cooling to ensure reliable operation even under challenging environmental conditions. Attachment of add-on components (e.g. crossjets or pre-focusing lenses) is facilitated by convenient mounting holes on the scan head’s housing, as well as optional attachment provisions.

To focus the laser beam, the scan head can be equipped with F-Theta or flat field objectives, pre-focusing lenses or the variable-Z optics internal linkvarioSCAN.

Typical hurrySCAN® 20applications include textile and micro-material processing, as well as micro-via drilling, welding, and premium-quality marking. The hurrySCAN® 20 is also especially well-suited for deflecting high-power diode lasers, e.g. for quasi-simultaneous welding of plastics.

The hurrySCAN® 20 is electrically compatible with all SCANLAB scan heads and can be controlled via SCANLAB's internal linkRTC® PC interface boards. The hurrySCAN® 20 is also mechanically compatible with the hurrySCAN® 25 and can be quickly and easily integrated into existing laser scan systems.
